  1. Lesson Schedule Private lessons are designed to meet specific needs of each student. It is focus primarily on developing playing technique, repertoire, musicianship and improvisation skills. Individual lessons are conducted on weekly basis for up to 30min, 45min and 60min. Each student is designated a specific, ongoing weekly day and time for lessons which has been reserved exclusively for student, which generally precludes Studio from accepting other teaching or performing opportunities during that time.

  2. Practice Regular home practice is essential for student success. Ideally, students should aim for at least 6 days of practice each week. Short, daily practice sessions are more effective than one or two long sessions per week. The most important time for students to practice is right after their weekly lesson, to solidify what they have just learned. Parental involvement in home practice is crucial for student success. Please help your children to establish and stick to a practice routine, and see that practice time is free of distractions. If you are the parent of an elementary age student, please plan to sit with your child for at least a portion of their daily practice time.
